HORSES’ TRAVEL
The Dubai Racing Club (DRC) will offer, through Janah Management Co Ltd and their appointed agents (as listed in the DIRC Brochure), to co-ordinate the shipping of horses to and from Dubai after January 1, 2010.
The DRC will meet the cost of return transport for each DIRC accepted horse to and from its country of residence, providing the horse runs twice at Meydan Racecourse during the 2010 Dubai International Racing Carnival. This cost is based on three horses per pallet on existing scheduled service cargo routes, from their country of origin to Dubai and return to the same point together with the affiliated charges for UAE/Export.
Unless sold, all DIRC horses must leave Dubai as soon as convenient transport arrangements have been made. Owners wishing to leave their horses in Dubai after the 2010 DIRC must gain approval from the Dubai Racing Club.
Horses that remain in Dubai 30 days AFTER the 2010 DWC forfeit their return transport subsidies.
Should owners wish to make alternative arrangements related to the return of the horses, they will be responsible for all charges applicable to this change.
If owners wish to transport their horse/s to any other country other than the country of origin they will be responsible for all costs and arrangements.
If the horse is sold either privately or at a public auction in the UAE, the return portion of the transport subsidy is forfeited.
PLEASE NOTE: It is unlikely that trainer’s staff will be able to travel with their horses due to the current airline security and clearance procedures.
TRAINERS’ FLIGHTS
International trainers are eligible for ONE complimentary return business class ticket from their country of origin. Subject to approval the business class ticket may be exchanged for two economy tickets.
Please note conditions on flight application form.
