- First run in 2000. Upgraded to Listed status in 2002. Went to Group 3 in 2005 and to Group 2 in 2011.
- The 12 winners of the Al Rashidiya have been trained in six different countries with the UAE edging South Africa as the most successful country.
- The 2004 and 2011 winners, Right Approach and Presvis, both went on to win the Group 1 Dubai Duty Free.
- Saeed bin Suroor and Mike de Kock are the only trainers to register multiple wins.
- Naheef’s success in 2003 gave Kerrin McEvoy his first win for Godolphin and his first in Dubai.
