How many races are there each night? The Dubai International Racing Carnival has 7-8 races per night at 40-45 minute intervals, with the first race starting at approximately 6pm. It is recommended that you arrive at the Meydan Grandstand and Racecourse 30 minutes before the first race to allow time to find parking, reach your desired hospitality area and complete the Pick 7 (prediction game) which must be handed in prior to 6.30pm (the exact time of the first race is published in the daily newspapers on the raceday).
What kind of hospitality can I purchase?
- Parade Ring Restaurant – Ground floor – International Dinner Buffet inclusive of soft drinks and juices. (Beverage list will be for sale on the night for all other beverage requirements)
- Tiered Restaurant – Level 2 – Set menu with carvery main course station inclusive of soft drinks and juices. (Beverage list will be for sale on the night for all other beverage requirements)
- Parade Ring Lounge – Mezzanine floor – Admission to bar area only where beverages can be purchased.
- Premium Seating – Guaranteed seat opposite the finish line. Food & Beverage available for purchase from the food court.
Are there vegetarian items included on the menu?
Yes.
What are the Hospitality Package timings?
During the Dubai International Racing Carnival, the Hospitality areas open from 5.30pm and packages that are inclusive of standard house beverages have beverage service between 5.45pm to 10.45pm.
Can someone else collect my badges on my behalf?
Yes. Provided they bring the booking confirmation.
Can I have my badges couriered?
Yes at a fee. Please specify when making the booking by selecting the correct courier option when booking online.
Do you offer hotel and flight bookings?
No. We recommend that a local travel agent or tour operator is contacted to assist with hotel and flight bookings.
What competitions can I enter on racenights?
A prediction “Pick 7” competition is held every racenight. Entry for the competition is free of charge and the winners will be announced on the night itself, the winner must present a photo ID in order to claim their prize.
Are there any prize draws I can enter?
A car raffle will be conducted on each racenight. Tickets are priced at AED 20 and will be available from the raffle sales booths situated on the Apron (the area between the track and the Meydan Grandstand). The winner will be announced on the night and winners must be present to claim the prize.
What is Dubai Racing Club's policy regarding minors?
As a safety concern, young children and toddlers in pushchairs or prams are not permitted entry to the Meydan Grandstand Hospitality areas.
Children are permitted in the free admission areas and food court and there is a half price children’s package available in the Parade Ring Restaurant for children 12 years and under. All children will require a badge to enter a hospitality package area.
Where can I purchase official Dubai Racing Club and Meydan merchandise?
An exclusive range of merchandise will be available from the Meydan Grandstand Gift Shop.
Will taxis be available at the end of the racenight?
The Dubai Transport Company Operates a taxi service from Meydan Grandstand and Racecourse. The taxi drop-off and pick up point is located outside the Meydan Grandstand.
Where is Meydan Grandstand and Racecourse located?
Meydan Racecourse is situated about 5km south east of Dubai.
- Coming from Dubai - from the Sheikh Zayed Road, please take the 2nd interchange and turn left onto Al Meydan Road and follow the signs to Meydan Racecourse and The Meydan Hotel.
- Coming from Abu Dhabi – from the Sheikh Zayed Road, please take the 2nd interchange and turn right onto Al Meydan Road, and follow the signs to Meydan Racecourse and The Meydan Hotel.
What is the dress code for the Dubai International Racing Carnival?
- Free admission area: casual attire
- Meydan Grandstand: Smart attire applies; women are encouraged to wear hats and race wear, although this is optional. Jeans, t-shirts, trainers and shorts are strictly not permitted in the Grandstand.
